Moss business credit card: features, fees and alternatives
Published on: 23rd August 2026
Moss offers corporate credit and debit card options, though this is one module inside their spend management platform, and the price you pay depends on which modules you take and how many transactions you push through them.
If you’re already using Moss, or looking for a spend management platform, then it’s a natural choice. Alternatively, you could also use a straightforward business credit card to manage your spending and give you some more financial breathing room.
Here we’ll look at how Moss Credit and Moss Debit differ, what's included with the cards, how the pricing model works, and where each option makes sense.
All Moss product details below are taken from Moss's UK corporate cards page and UK pricing page, correct as of August 2026. Features, plans and pricing can change and vary by circumstances, so it's worth confirming the latest details directly with Moss before you commit.
What does Moss offer?
Moss is a spend management platform aimed at finance teams. Cards are one part of it. They also have tools for paying back employee reimbursements and managing accounts payable, as well as add-ons for budget controlling, procurement, ERP integration and AI-assisted accounting.
The key benefit is making your financial management work more smoothly, bringing together different kinds of expenses in a single platform and connecting them to your accounting.
Moss Credit and Moss Debit cards
Moss gives you two ways to fund a card, and they behave very differently.
Moss Credit
This is the credit option, described as it as always 0% interest with no hidden charges when you repay on time. Repayment is flexible: daily, weekly, or up to 30 days. You settle in full at the end of each billing cycle.
That structure makes it closer to a charge card than a revolving credit card. There's no option to carry a balance across cycles and pay interest on it, which is a benefit if you never want to, and a constraint if you occasionally need to. Eligibility and credit checks apply.
Moss Debit
This one draws from a Moss debit wallet you've funded yourself. No risk assessment, no borrowing, immediate balance reduction as you spend.
Moss's free plan is debit only. Credit funding sits on the paid plans and is subject to eligibility.
What comes with the cards
Both funding options share the same card feature set:
Unlimited virtual cards, issued instantly, with no per-user fee
Physical cards available, with no annual card fee
Apple Pay and Google Wallet
Per-card and per-transaction limits
Merchant category and time-based restrictions
Receipt capture in the app or by email, plus automated receipt fetching
Direct accounting and ERP integrations
Mastercard acceptance worldwide, with international transactions in 150 or more currencies
The spend controls are a key capability. You can spin up a virtual card for a single supplier, a single project or a single purchase, cap it, match it by merchant type, then cancel it once-used.
How Moss pricing works
Moss charges a platform fee based on the modules and add-ons you select, plus a variable fee tied to the volume of transactions you expect to process each month. Transactions here means card payments, invoices and reimbursements combined.
There is a free tier: up to 3 users, unlimited cards, up to 20 invoices a month, approval and verification steps, and the debit wallet only. It's a reasonable way to test the platform, but the credit option and the automation that justifies the product both sit behind the paid plans.
Fees, pricing structures and included features vary between providers and can change. Compare the total running cost against your own spending patterns rather than the headline, and check current terms with the provider directly. Our guide to business credit card rates, fees and charges sets out the costs worth pinning down.
Where the Funding Circle Cashback business credit card is different
The Funding Circle Cashback business credit card is a card, not a platform, though it does include the ability to manage spending and issue cards. There's no subscription, no modules and no quote process. You apply, you get a credit limit, and the card pays you back on what you spend.
2% cashback on all card purchases for the first 6 months or up to £2,000, whichever comes first, then 1% uncapped cashback on everything after that
Up to 42 days interest-free credit, as a grace period when you clear your balance in full
No monthly fee, no annual fee and no foreign exchange fees
Credit limits up to £250,000, depending on your circumstances
Free unlimited Company cards for your team, with spend limits you set from your dashboard
Secure sync with Sage, Xero or FreeAgent
Rates from 14.9% per year. Representative 34.9% APR (variable)
Because it's a revolving credit facility rather than a charge card, you can carry a balance if you need to, though interest applies when you do. It works online and in-store anywhere Visa is accepted, and you keep your existing business banking.
How to choose the right option for your business
The right choice for you will depend on the problems your team is trying to solve.
If you’re a large company with a finance team and multi-step approvals, then a spend management platform like Moss can be a huge benefit. By streamlining your expense management and reconciliation, you can save hours a month and catch leaks in your cash flow early.
If you’re a smaller company that just needs cards for the team and money back on spend, then a free company card with spend limits cover the control you need, and cashback on everything from stock to travel is money that goes straight back into the business. Our piece on business credit cards for operational expenses covers this scenario in more depth.

Moss Credit Card FAQs
Is Moss a credit card?
Moss offers a credit-funded corporate card as part of its platform. It works more like a charge card, since you settle the balance in full at the end of each billing cycle rather than carrying it over. Moss also offers a debit-funded card that draws on money you've already loaded.
Does Moss charge per user?
No. Moss states there's a single platform fee regardless of how many people you onboard, which means you can give cards to your whole team without the cost rising with headcount.
What's the difference between a corporate card and a business credit card?
The terms overlap, but corporate card programmes are generally aimed at larger organisations and bundled with spend management software, while business credit cards are aimed at smaller companies and more often come with rewards such as cashback. The practical differences that matter are how you repay, what it costs to run, and who carries the liability.
Can I get cashback with Moss?
Moss's current UK corporate cards page doesn't list cashback as a feature. If rewards on spend are a priority, confirm the position directly with Moss.
