Find out how the Strategic Partnerships Team can support your customers

The Strategic Partnerships (SP) team is key to helping partners build a strong relationship with Funding Circle and their clients. They’ve already introduced themselves as a team, but here’s a little bit more about what they do and how they can support your customers.

Who is the Strategic Partnerships team? 

The Strategic Partnerships team sits within the wider Introducer team, alongside the Broker, Key Accounts and Inside Sales teams. It is made up of three Strategic Partnerships Managers (SPMs), including Alex Austin, Daniel Bondzie and manager Fran Warrington, and they’re also currently recruiting two new Relationship Managers to help expand the team. 

How do they work with Partners?

The SP team is the sales team responsible for identifying, building and launching embedded lending Partnerships for Funding Circle. Working across industry verticals, their role is to drive high opportunity relationships with partners that will offer Funding Circle to their customers via their website, platform or mobile app. Alongside this, they also work closely with our Strategy, Product and Engineering teams to provide partner feedback and requirements on the API – the technology that allows us to embed our lending product in a partner’s environment.

Their goal is to find and create relationships with Partners that Funding Circle have not worked with before – which are made possible by the development of our new products such as the API. The team have an average tenure at FC of 4.5 years and are highly driven towards their goal. 

In 2022, the SPMs are really looking forward to working with new Partners and meeting our existing Partners in person where possible. They are hosting an API launch event in May where they look forward to catching up with many of our valued partners, and there are lots more exciting developments to come this year – with the expansion of our instant decision tool and new Funding Circle products. 

Fran Warrington, Head of Strategic Partnerships, said: “We were really excited to launch our embedded lending API in Q4 2021, and are already seeing some great results in working with our first launch partners. 2022 promises to be just as rewarding, and we look forward to announcing further partnerships that will provide seamless application journeys in our partner’s environments to help their customers get the funds they need to win.”
