A round-up of our 2023 broker events so far

2023 has got off to a strong start for our broker team, who have been busy meeting brokers at a range of exciting events. Here’s a round-up of what they’ve been up to.

Anglo Scottish Asset Finance networking dinner 

Anglo Scottish Asset Finance hosted the first ever annual event for their network in April, and we were excited to be involved. Taking place at the Principal Hotel in York, the event consisted of a tradeshow and networking event in the day, followed by a dinner with entertainment in the evening. 

Around 90 brokers from Anglo Scottish’s network were invited, and while the majority of other lenders in the room were specifically for asset finance, Funding Circle’s stand still had a prime position. We were able to meet with our brokers for the first time, which the team really enjoyed, and we were happy to be able to give our top three performers a bottle of champagne as a thank you. 

It was a lovely day out connecting with brokers we don’t usually interact with on a day-to-day basis, and we can’t wait to do more of these events in the future. 

Harlequins vs Bath at the Premiership Rugby 

Thanks to our new partnership with Premiership Rugby, we were delighted to attend the Harlequins vs Bath game at Twickenham Stadium on 22nd April. 

With 10 hospitality tickets, we were pleased to invite brokers from Clear Business Finance along for a day of sport, music and food. The day began with a 3-course meal, where we enjoyed some complimentary drinks and the chance to support the rugby ground’s local charities with raffles and auctions. Then we went to our seats to watch the Kaiser Chiefs open the show, which got everyone excited for the main event. 

It was a close game between the two teams, but Bath took the victory in an exciting finish with a final score of 45-35. 

We received great feedback on the outing, with one of the brokers telling us: “It was a really great day out with one of our key lenders, and was great to feel valued by being taken to an exclusive event.” 

Our team were also thrilled to attend, saying: “It’s always a pleasure to be able to reward our high performing brokers and celebrate our successes, as well as a few tries…”
