Our national impact

We believe that when small businesses succeed, the entire country thrives. In 2025, our lending reached a milestone of £3.0 billion in assets under management, which helped generate a significant £7.9 billion boost to the UK’s GDP.

This impact is felt most personally through the 117,000 jobs our platform helps sustain; to put that in perspective, one in every 320 jobs across Britain is currently backed by a Funding Circle loan. Beyond the workforce, this economic activity contributed £2.2 billion in tax revenue back into the public purse - an amount large enough to cover the annual salaries of roughly 58,000 nurses.

Driving growth across all sectors and regions

We make sure capital flows directly into the heart of the UK’s economy, supporting the hardworking businesses that keep our communities running. By funding core areas like retail, construction, and professional services, our lending has successfully reached every single parliamentary constituency across the country.

We are proud to bridge the gap in regions where traditional lenders have pulled back, becoming a key source of credit in underserved areas. For us, it’s about more than just the data; it’s about ensuring that ambitious small businesses in every corner of Britain have the backing they need to thrive.
