Accessing your
money

Investing at Funding Circle allows you to have access to your money when you need it by selling your parts of loans on to other investors. On average it takes 2 days to access your money, when you sell the loan parts at par value.

It’s easy to sell your loan parts to other investors as they start earning interest immediately, as opposed to waiting for up to 14 days for an auction to end, and it allows them to quickly build a well diversified portfolio of loans.

There are two ways you can do this:

Use the Autosale Tool

The Autosale tool automatically selects loan parts to list up to the value you enter, allowing you to quickly and easily get access to your money. Autosale will show you a list of loan parts of a value close to the amount you want to raise. If you are happy with these then the chosen loan parts will be listed for sale in the marketplace.

Sell loan parts individually

You can also individually select the loan parts you want to sell and sell these at up to a 3.0% premium or discount. Selling at a premium allows you to earn a profit and selling at a discount gives you the confidence you may need that you can access quickly access your money if you need it.

All loan parts will be listed for sale for a period of 14 days, during which time other investors can review the loan parts and buy them if they wish. But remember it takes just 2 days on average to sell loan parts which are sold at par value (no premium or discount).
